You’ve taken loving care of your beloved senior pet all these years, and now you’re looking for the best way to memorialize them. You are also sensitive to the needs of our earth’s environment. A way to honor the bond you had with your pet during your cherished time together is to partner with our compassionate professionals at Senior Paws & Last Wishes Aquamation. Our team is here to work with you and your family to ensure your pet and our planet is cared for properly.
Aquamation, also known as water-based cremation, is an emerging form of eco-friendly body care for pets. It is a process that uses warmed flowing water and alkalinity, resulting in the reduction of body mass to ash. Aquamation mimics what naturally takes place over a longer period of time after a body is buried in the soil. Similar to traditional cremation, the only solid remains are the mineral ash of bones which we offer to return to families in their urn of choice.
Why Do We Offer Aquamation?
“I learned about aquamation for pets for the first time in 2013 at a veterinary conference in Denver, CO. Intrigued by its gentle process, efficiency and environmental benefits, I began to think about how I could bring this new service to our pet-loving community in Houston.
Since we at Senior Paws & Last Wishes believe what you believe – our beloved pets are family – we know that aftercare is an important part of saying goodbye. Our wish is to provide families the opportunity to honor their pet while honoring the earth. By choosing aquamation, your pet never leaves the care of Last Wishes. Our wonderfully compassionate team will help with all of the arrangements, down to the last detail. Your confidence and trust in us are most important; taking care of your family’s needs is our number one priority.”
